An Edward Slinin Generosity Has Many Rewards

When it comes to making a change for the better in your life regarding giving back to your community, using Edward Slinin as your model may not be a bad idea. Known for creating a entrepreneurial empire from one car and a killer plan, Edward Slinin may not be the first name that comes to peoples’ minds when they consider philanthropy, community, and the rewards of giving back to others when you’ve received so much. It should be. Truthfully, much of the Edward Slinin success story is a result of just such a morally inspirational attitude. And if you ask the community that Edward Slinin serves, you may be surprised to hear a few tales of courage and generosity that make sense for business and for life.

When it comes to making some Edward Slinin changes in your own life and routine, it can be a bit overwhelming. Sure, you’d like to become more civic minded and you’d love to help others in any way that you can. But where do you start, and how do you find the projects and the people that can best use you? More importantly, what are the various ways that you can give back imaginatively?

Donation, of course, is always an options. Like Edward Slinin, you can certainly donate a percentage of your earning to any charity or organization that you wish. As with anything, the most relevant changes you can make come from the heart. If you’re a music lover, consider donating to a local school or non-profit organization that fosters the art of music, be it for children or adults. When it comes to giving, contributing to charities are not your only option. If you’re passionate about art or research or animals, there is no limit the number of people and institutions that you can assist. Do your homework and see what’s out there before making your decision.

So, what if you’re short on cash, but big on sympathy? Volunteering, may be the Edward Slinin type of road for you! It doesn’t take money to give your time. People who choose to volunteer can give just an hour week, or twenty–really the choice is up to you and what you’re able to give. Whether it’s at a local hospital, nursing home, clinic, or school, if you’re passionate about helping others, there is an organization looking for you and who considers itself lucky to have you. Volunteering also makes sense for your future. Volunteer efforts are considered excellent networking opportunities, and also foster future business relationships. They can count towards course credit, or just provide you an altruistic outlet the Edward Slinin way.

When it comes to philanthropy, there are any number of ways to contribute. If you have a useful skill set, give that. You can act as an advocate for others, read to a child, tutor, mentor–really the sky’s the limit! Even if outright giving is not your style, you can still lend a hand productively. Love to shop? Then do it locally. Local business are hurting, and fail every day, due to the number of “one stop shops” that offer quantity over quality. Shopping locally helps your community thrive, offer employment opportunities, and strengthens the unique products your town can offer. In a world where money rules, it’s nice to know that, even if you’re budget is modest, you can still help.

Planning an Unforgettable Event for a Loved One

Planning a special night out is something that most of us have to do at one point or another. Whether you are preparing a special romantic evening for a loved one, or a bachelor or bachelorette party, you want to be sure that everything is absolutely perfect. If you want to make memories that will last and last, you should take the time to make sure that every single aspect of your plan is perfect.

First, you need to think about the person whose special day it is, and consider what their interests are before you make any solid plans. Remember that everyone has different tastes, and just because you may love a certain restaurant or club, doesn’t mean that they will too. Remember that this is their moment and it should be catered to their specific likes.

Chances are high that if you are planning someone’s event, you probably are already close with them. This means that you should be able to make informed choices. You probably already know where they like to hang out and what kind of things they enjoy. With this knowledge, you can book the perfect evening out.

First, you need to consider the location. Are you going to be having a gathering at your house, or at another person’s house, or at a third-party venue? Maybe you want to make a nice dinner at your place, have everyone meet there, and then ride to a nightclub together. Try to have a definite plan, with a rough time-frame to go by. You may not be able to follow it exactly, but it will help to keep things organized.

Next, you need to determine how you will be getting to the destination. Don’t wait until the last minute to see who has to drive, or if you can get enough taxi cabs to fit everyone. Nobody wants to be the designated driver, especially if they were planning on partying. The best bet is to hire a limousine service.

Luxury car services like Corporate Transportation Group, which is owned by Edward Slinin, are the best way to avoid the hassles of getting to and from your destination. If you and all of your guests all pitch in a little but of money, you can enjoy a ride that is much more fun and convenient, all while paying little more than a cab ride!

Once you have decided where to go, what time to go there, and how to get there, the rest is up to you! Do you want to have a theme? Do you want to sing a happy birthday song or make a toast? Some of the night can just happen naturally, but you may want to coordinate some exciting moments for the guest of honor. Remember that the most important part of the night is that everyone has fun!

Edward Slinin: Choosing Your Luxury Limousine

Luxury limousines have become extraordinarily popular in modern days. Today there is a limo specific to any budget, event, or taste. There is a huge selection to pick from in various colors, sizes, and styles. Most of us have seen the traditional, classy black or white limo. But, the choices are endless. Although limos are associated with wealth and status, limousines are becoming more and more popular with the less wealthy, especially for special events, such as weddings, bachelor or bachelorette parties, or proms.

Although the term has evolved over time, today limousine or limo refers to a luxury sedan, especially one with a lengthened wheelbase and driven by a chauffeur. Stretch limousines are traditionally black or white and refer to a limousine that had its chassis extended by the manufacturer or an independent coachbuilder. Builders of stretch limousines purchase stock cars from manufacturers and modify them for limousine companies, mostly in the United States and Europe.

Limo companies, such as Edward Slinin’s Corporate Transportation Group, offer a wide array of luxury cars to choose from. The hummer limo takes the already prestigious and overstated hummer and stretches it to seat up to twenty-four passengers and includes many amenities in addition to flat screen TVs and karaoke machines. The Lincoln limousine offers a sleek and elegant ride and is the preferred choice for corporate executives. The party bus limo will seat up to forty-five people, and offers extravagant options, like smoke machines, on-board restrooms, and strobe lights. This is a great alternative to those who want to party but don’t want to deal with crowded bars or wait in long lines to get into a club. Plus, a designated driver is already part of the package.

Many limo service companies also offer choices that include the stretch limo for smaller, more intimate groups. Add a hot tub, a moon roof, and a full service wet bar for a truly amazing and luxurious experience. The SUV limo offers great safety features and is ideal for families. These vehicles can be equipped with infant car seats, Wi-fi and satellite TV connections, plus it’s roomy enough for extra “stuff.” These are among some of the more popular choices limousine rental companies offer their clientele, whether it’s Edward Slinin or another reputable limousine rental company. Along with these luxury car options, upstanding limousine companies also offer unsurpassed amenities and services included in their packages. Limousines are fitted with state-of-the art equipment and technology and always driven by a professional and courteous chauffeur.

Limousines come in many styles and body types, colors, and sizes to accommodate two people or a large group of people. They are used by individuals as well as by governments and large corporations to transport senior politicians and executives. This is a preferred mode of transportation for both the wealthy and those of lesser means. Whether you are Edward Slinin or a smaller limo company, limousine services are a thriving business even in these hard economic times.

Tools that Edward Slinin uses to Equip his Drivers

The transportation industry is quite often about coordination. The client has to communicate where he wants what to go when and where. The driver has to directly receive such information from dispatch or in some cases find out any specifics last minute from the client. What type of system is established in the CTG system that allows all of the necessary processes to be accomplished without any hold ups?

Edward Slinin made clear in his interview with thestreet.com that the Blackberry mobile phone is one that he as an owner constantly uses and supplies with his drivers. It is a tool that facilitates the coordination of logistical issues through direct voice to voice dispatch or internet and messaging features. The CTG infrastructure even sees to it that their state of the art invoicing system keeps Drivers ahead of the curve with otherwise burdensome filing. A keen eye to organization accompanied with modern tools allows Eward Slinin’s crew to function as well-oiled cogs in his corporate structure.

An emphasis on personable drivers who take personal responsibility toward the client and their own role in the company is another tangible tool with which drivers are equipped. Drivers for CTG are allowed the same responsibility of a small business owner by contracting. They must fulfill their pivotal role in the company with maximum self investment. It is an opportunity that Mr. Slinin himself knows well having started with just one limousine as a driver himself. Certainly, his personal experience drove Edward Slinin to empower his drivers in such significant ways.

What’s Next for the Corporate Transportation Industry?

The transportation industry has come a long way since the early days of the U.S. As colonies, we were influenced by the British and royalty that demanded elegance and professionalism when traveling. The French also inspired the Americans, and the country’s kings and queens were transported in magnificent carriages with every amenity. Now, corporate travel is expected to be fast, comfortable, reliable and affordable. So what’s next for the big business of executive transportation?

Edward Slinin, founder of Corporation Transportation Group, is an expert the field and has some insight. First, we need to understand where we’ve come from to know where we’re going. In the early days of this country, the colonists were focusing on mere survival, were not times when the VIPs were expecting fabulous transport in a well appointed carriage. That would change over the years, especially with the invention of the horseless carriage.

Once the automobile became widely available to the average American, travel by car was considered first class luxury. Throughout the mid 1900s, the U.S. saw the development of the luxury vehicle, the limo and then the stretch limo. At the time, such opulence was only accessible to the wealthy, celebrities, politicians and dignitaries. By the time the 1980s hit, as Edward Slinin was building his business, car transportation was no longer something only the rich could afford.

The 1990s brought more gas efficiency in vehicles, which enabled companies specializing in executive transportation to thrive due to lower costs. Edward Slinin positioned his company, CTG, to take advantage of this favorable economy. Lower costs allowed the company to purchase not only more cars, but more types of vehicles. With a sizeable fleet and through sheer volume, CTG could offer its services to companies at lower a cost than ever before. Mr. Slinin and CTG made car service easily accessible for any size business.

In the new millennium, companies like CTG recognize that incorporating the newest innovations in executive transportation is integral to success. Edward Slinin has integrated GPS devices in many of the company’s town cars, limos and vans. This integration enables drivers to plan routes and avoid construction zones to speed passengers to their destinations. Smart phones put drivers in touch with dispatchers and riders to avoid pick up hassles. Mr. Slinin has recently overseen the acquisition of a sizeable fleet of hybrid cars to further the company’s “green” endeavors.

The next phase for companies that want to remain competitive in the business of executive travel will continue to innovate and embrace new technology. We’re a long way from flying cars, but the next developments will support drivers and, in turn, benefit passengers. Real time traffic reports will enable drivers to avoid traffic snarls and accidents. Weather radar will alert drivers to storms and other hassles. Edward Slinin is at the forefront of research and development that will facilitate the leap to the next generation of corporate transportation.

Edward Slinin Limos Help You Indulge Yourself

Sometimes you just want to be pampered. Whether you’re a group of tired moms or collegiate party girls or a senior citizens’ book club, you deserve to live it up!

Edward Slinin, the founder of Corporate Transportation Group, understands. He has limos in 450 cities across the country and around the world. Pick one! You can make a reservation right online. Town car? Stretch limo? How about an eco-friendly hybrid Lexus? Edward Slinin will set you up right.

Once you have your transportation and driver for the day, you just need to decide how to indulge. Is it a dress up and party kind of a night? Or more of a kick back, relaxing afternoon?

If you’re going out, you need to start with a shopping trip. Pick a store that suits your style and your budget, but make sure you all go together. There’s no better way to choose a new party dress than to have the opinions of all your besties in the fitting room. Don’t forget accessories!

Once you have your outfits, you’ll need to spiff up your nails. Make appointments in advance so that all the girls can line up for your foot soaks and pedicures. Take your time picking the right color, glitter, or design on your manicure. Make sure it coordinates with that new dress!

Whether you book a salon or do your hair at home, make sure it’s special. Look online to see how to create some awesome braids, then do them on each other. Break out the straighteners and curling irons and see what kind of magic you can work! Remember how you used to try to do your doll’s hair?

Now put it all together. You know you look fantastic. Head out to the restaurant or nightclub or show, whatever makes you feel special. You spent the day getting ready, so now it’s time to show off your beautiful new look. Just tell your limo driver where you want to go and he’ll be waiting for you when you’re done!

If you just need to get away and relax, indulge with some friends. See if the nail salon will let you come in your PJs and bring your own martinis! Imagine getting into an Edward Slinin limo that way. Why not? Go to the spa for a massage, then shower up and head to the movies or a show. Or maybe just head back to somebody’s house to curl up on the couch with a great chick flick and homemade popcorn.

Women get rejuvenated in all different ways, but usually the best energy comes from being around our friends. So round up the girls and decide how you most want to be pampered. Then make it happen.

Eddie Slinin and the American Dream

Most immigrants arrive in America with a dream and boundless hope and optimism. For those with a spirit of freedom and the fearless desire to take a chance in order to bring a dream to fruition, America provides the perfect environment. According the the Kauffman Index of Entrepreneurial Activity, the rate of businesses started by those of foreign descent rose 0.62% in 2010 and the trend appears to be on the upswing. But, whether you are an immigrant or not, a good business model can succeed with the right amount of hard work and perseverance combined with the right blend of people and technology.

The American tapestry has been woven together with the dreams and hopes of all those who have come here in search of a better life and a brighter future, not just for themselves but for generations to come. Despite the hard economic times we are experiencing, despite the tragic events that befell the country on 9/11, despite setbacks and hardships, the American Dream has not died. We have only to look at success stories, such as that of Eddie Slinin, to remind us of what we still have, the opportunities and freedoms that still exist for those who seek them.

After years of working multiple jobs, while still a teenager, Eddie Slinin was able to begin working towards a dream of owning and managing his own business. In 1982, he finally began his company, Corporate Transportation Group, Ltd. In the 30 years since, Corporate Transportation Group has grown from a small one-car venture into an industry leader with more than 1400 vehicles serving 450 cities and 39 countries all over the world. Mr. Slinin credits hard work and innovation as key to any successful business.

Owning a business is part of the American Dream, embedded in our psyches and in our culture. The American Dream came to be long before America was a country, dating as far back as the 1600s. Back then people were beginning to have hopes and aspirations about owning land and establishing a prosperous business in what was mostly an unexplored continent to European immigrants. It was thought that these things would – at least in theory – produce happiness. During the Great Depression of the 1930s writers of the period wrote about the idealistic American Dream, entrenching the idea in the American society.

For most Americans the dream involves doing better than previous generations, it has to do with one’s own sense of happiness, accomplishment, freedom, and opportunity. Although it may mean different things to different people, we can all recognize a piece of the dream in success stories of entrepreneurs and businesses that are thriving. Stories like that of Eddie Slinin, who started his family operated company from virtually nothing to the great conglomerate it is today. Stories that touch the heart and bring inspiration to others, like that of Tom Pendleton and his wife who started SafetyBright.com with their personal savings. The company operates on an international level now, offering safety products for consumers, law enforcement and first responders. Or, the success story of Miguel Zabludovsky, founder and CEO of Slate NYC, an eco-friendly laundry, dry cleaning, and home cleaning service.

Eddie Slinin, and others who have effectively been able to grow their companies into successful enterprises, offers hope to all those who still hold the American Dream close and have the desire to change – or help change – the world we live in, one dream at a time.

The World is Full of Everyday Heroes

Our society admires heroes, especially heroes that evolve from everyday people or who are underdogs. We can really relate to these people because there is a part of us that knows that if they can do something amazing, then so can we. There is nothing more exciting than watching one of these people finally find success, despite the odds.

Stories about these heroes go back to biblical times, all the way to the iconic David as he defeated the giant, Goliath. We read about these heroes in books, and we see them in movies and on television. Rarely, though, do we realize that these people exist in our everyday lives.

People such as Edward Slinin are everyday heroes. Edward Slinin grew a successful business out of nothing when he was barely past boyhood, and he continues to find success today. But he is not the only everyday hero that we pass on the street and take no notice of.

A school aged child who passes a difficult math test is a hero. After putting in all the hard work of studying and not playing video games or watching television, this child finds success and is truly heroic. The man you makes a big presentation at work and really impresses his boss is a hero. He is successful because he puts the effort into his work, and he is rewarded with success.

The common denominator between Edward Slinin, the school child, and the working man is determination. No one can be successful if they do not work at it, and this is why we find these people so admirable and heroic. We all want to work hard to be successful, but often it is difficult. We admire the people who can stick with it to achieve their goals.

The world is filled with people who are successful and heroic. They may not be David slaying Goliath, but their achievements are just as important to their own lives. We admire this success because we know how difficult it is to achieve. A lot of the time it is the everyday accomplishments that are the most difficult. This makes them the most admirable to accomplish.

These unsung heroes surround us every day. By recognizing their accomplishments we can become more satisfied by our own achievements, no matter how small they may be. In some way, everyone is a hero.

Edward Slinin Steps Up to the Plate

Like Edward Slinin, most people know the term climate change in today’s world.
Unfortunately, it is clear that greenhouse gases and fossil fuels are damaging the
environment of our world. It is a very sensitive situation that requires responsibility
and proper attention, but, most of all, it requires change.

Our world runs on fossil fuels. As technology grows and our population increases at
this exponential rate, facing the climate change problem becomes more and more
difficult and more and more necessary. Whether it comes to fueling cars, smart
phones, ferry boats, the internet, or your workplace, this world requires energy. In
order to live our lives in this society, some sort of fuel must be consumed.

Fortunately, some are stepping to the forefront in the nonprofit and public energy
sectors. At an individual level, people are changing over to solar energy in their
homes and electric cars in their garages. However, with bottom lines and profit
ratios to meet, it is not every day that you see prominent figures of the business
world taking the steps that it takes to save our planet.

The story of Edward Slinin is an amazing one. Edward Slinin’s life captures the true
essence of the American Dream. He came to this country at the age of 12 and has
been working hard ever since. Slinin had 27 jobs by the age of 18. He worked
through his youth to support the well being of his family as they struggled to realize
the promise of the land of opportunity. As we know, this promise is not always easy
to bring to fruition.

Edward became a limo driver at the age of 18. He decided that he would plant his
stake in the transportation industry, and it has become a very large, international
stake. After starting his company in 1982 with one car and one client, Edward used
hard work, intelligence, business savvy, and care for employees and customers to
become of the biggest entrepreneurs in the transportation sector.

Edward’s story is truly rags to riches. But Edward knows that it is also important
to be a great citizen of the world. Edward Slinin has taken up the challenge of
combating our environmental hazards. Edward has over 1400 cars in over 450
cities, across the world! Fortunately, he is a person who can use his influence to
cut down on a big, limousine sized, chunk of Earth’s carbon footprint. The owner of
over 10% of the world’s limousines has decided to go hybrid! He is currently in the
process of converting his fleet over to renewable energy sources.

Edward’s example is certainly one to follow at many levels. He is living the good life
as a result of his business success. And he certainly deserves it. But he knows that
it is not a time to sit still. Not only does Edward still exude the spirit and dedication
that brought him to success in the business world, he is also putting that positive
energy towards being a responsible citizen of the Earth.
